Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use this site. The short version: the personality test itself runs entirely in your browser, your answers are never sent anywhere, and the only data this site collects is anonymous and aggregated. The sections below cover exactly what that means in practice.

The personality test itself

Every statement you answer, every scale value you click, and your final trait scores and archetype are calculated entirely on your own device, using JavaScript that runs in your browser. None of that is sent to a server, logged, or stored anywhere, by us or by anyone else. If you close the tab or refresh the page, your in-progress answers are gone; there is nothing to delete because nothing was ever saved in the first place.

There is no account to create, no email address to enter, and no login required to take the test or see your results.

Analytics

This site does not run cookie-based tracking or cross-site advertising analytics of any kind. It does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other websites. This page will be updated first if that ever changes.

Optional feedback

If you use the feedback widget on this site to leave a thumbs up, thumbs down, or a short written comment, that submission is anonymous: it is not linked to your name, email address, IP address, or device in any way we can access. We only receive the vote (or comment text, capped at 1000 characters) and which page it was left on, treated purely as an aggregated signal to help us understand what's useful and what isn't. Submitting feedback is entirely optional and never required to use the test.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It may use your browser's local storage (a small amount of data kept on your own device, not sent to a server) to remember simple preferences, such as whether you prefer light or dark mode. You can clear this at any time through your browser's own settings, and doing so has no effect on your ability to use the site.

Third parties

This site is hosted on Cloudflare's network, which processes standard web traffic (like any host does) to serve pages and defend against abuse such as bot traffic and denial-of-service attempts. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties, because we do not collect the kind of personal data that would make that possible in the first place.

Children's privacy

This site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any visitor. The test and its results are intended for general audiences interested in a self-assessment personality quiz.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, meaning if we ever start collecting a new category of data, this page will be updated to reflect exactly what changed and why. There is no mailing list or notification system for policy changes; check back here if you want the current version.

Why the test can work without collecting your answers

It's worth explaining briefly why this is possible at all, since a lot of quizzes do send your answers to a server. The scoring math behind this test (adding up ratings for each trait, converting the sum to a percentage, and picking an archetype from your two highest scores) is simple enough to run instantly in any modern browser, so there was never a technical reason to send your answers anywhere else. Building it this way was a deliberate choice: it means there's no database of individual results to secure, no risk of a data breach exposing anyone's personality profile, and nothing to accidentally retain longer than intended.

The tradeoff is that we can't show you aggregate statistics like "how your Openness score compares to everyone else who has taken this test," because we genuinely don't have access to that data. If that tradeoff ever changes for a future feature, this page will be updated first, and it would remain opt-in rather than automatic.

Do Not Track and browser privacy settings

Because this site does not use tracking cookies or cross-site tracking technology in the first place, browser privacy features like Do Not Track requests, tracking protection, or content blockers do not change how the site behaves; there is nothing extra for those settings to block beyond what's already true by default. You're welcome to use any privacy browser extension or setting you prefer, and the personality test itself will keep working normally, since it never depended on tracking to function.
